*This is a provisional schedule based on the 2024 schedule. Once the 2025 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps schedule is confirmed, we will provide an update.
Once we have a detailed schedule, you will find it here.
A typical FIA WEC race weekend spans multiple days, beginning with Free Practice sessions, where teams make final adjustments and familiarise themselves with the track conditions. Usually, there are three practice sessions, with two held on the first day and one on the second. After practice, teams proceed to Qualifying, split by class, where drivers aim to secure the best starting position for the race.
On race day, teams compete over a set duration—ranging from 6 hours to the full 24 hours at Le Mans—with multiple driver changes required to handle the long, gruelling hours.
For the current FIA WEC season, the classes are as follows:
Le Mans Hypercar (LMH)
This is the top class, featuring advanced hybrid and non-hybrid prototypes from manufacturers like Toyota and Ferrari. They showcase cutting-edge technology with high performance.
Le Mans GT3 (LMGT3): Debuted in 2024, LMGT3 replaced the former GTE class with GT cars that are closer to production models, allowing a variety of manufacturers to participate.
Session Breakdown:
Free Practice: Several free practice sessions to optimise setups.
Qualifying (except Le Mans): Currently, the qualifying for the Hypercar and LMGT3 classes will feature two distinct sessions. The first is a 12-minute qualifying session, followed by a 10-minute Hyperpole for the top 10 qualifiers. This Hyperpole session sets the grid for the fastest cars in each category. Previously, qualifying involved a single 15-minute session, with Hyperpole exclusive to Le Mans. If a car fails to record a time in Hyperpole, it will be placed behind those that completed laps, unless otherwise determined by the stewards.
Warm-Up (Le Mans only): A short session on race day morning to finalise preparations.
Race: Duration varies by event (6, 8, or 24 hours).
