ABOUT SPA

The town of Spa, located in the province of Liège in Belgium, is renowned worldwide as the original spa town, giving its name to the global spa industry. Famous for its natural mineral springs, Spa has been a destination for wellness and relaxation since the Roman era, when it was known as Aquae Spadanae. The town attracted European royalty and aristocracy as far back as the 16th century when they came to "take the waters" and benefit from the reputed healing properties of the springs.

Today, Spa continues to be a prominent wellness destination, with modern thermal baths offering a range of treatments and a scenic location surrounded by the lush Ardennes forests.

In addition to its health and wellness attractions, Spa is home to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, one of the most iconic and challenging circuits in the world. This circuit, famed for its elevation changes and turns like Eau Rouge and Raidillon, hosts the annual Belgian Grand Prix, attracting motorsport fans from across the globe.
